The Rush Transformation goes beyond bricks and mortar; it includes a unified electronic health records system. Already implemented throughout the Medical Center, the system speeds patient registration and scheduling and provides caregivers immediate access to complete, up-to-date patient medical information, improving safety and quality of care. Fewer than 2 percent of hospitals nationwide have adopted a comprehensive electronic medical record system like Rush’s that covers all clinical units.
